As a Certified City and Regional Planner, I work with clients, ranging from small communities to the State of Ohio, helping solve their mobility, safety, and land use problems of today, while creating a viable plan for tomorrow. This requires technical know-how, but equally important, the ability to collaborate and exchange ideas with officials and the public they serve. As a Trustee, I promise to utilize these same skills, so that together, we can tackle the issues facing us today and set a successful course for tomorrow.

As a fiscal conservative and Republican, I will strive to maximize the value of our tax dollars through preserving what we have and exploring new operational efficiencies through partnerships and technology.

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS
I was drawn to Powell in 2004 because the rural areas and small-town feel reminded me of home. Originally from New Philadelphia, I moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. I graduated in 1999 with a BA in architecture, and in 2001 with a master's degree in City and Regional Planning. During my time at OSU, I held internships with ODOT and the Ohio Senate. Since then, I have been working full time as a planning and engineering consultant. My clients have included Franklin, Delaware and Union County Engineers, the City of Columbus, and ODOT, to name a few. Through this work, I have been able to build a number of critical relationships that Liberty Township could benefit from should I be elected. I have literally spent a lifetime building a resume that can, and will, stand up to my competitors in this race because I have the education and professional experience they are lacking when it comes to short-term goals and long-range plans for the Township.
I am thankful to have been raised in a family that values public service. For decades, my father and grandfather both held positions in local government in Carroll County and both served multiple terms as Fire Chief for the local Volunteer Fire Department. Watching these two men work gave me valuable insight into the ins and outs of local politics, as well as the fire service industry. Honoring my family's tradition of giving back, in February, 2016 I applied for, and was appointed to, the Liberty Township Board of Zoning Appeals, on which I have served as Chair (2018-8/2019) and as Vice Chair (2017-2018). While I enjoy my position on the BZA, I believe I can serve the residents of Liberty Township and Powell even more as a Trustee. I have the knowledge and expertise that it takes to move our community forward and I look forward to meeting with residents to discuss my plans for Liberty Township.
